From Pharisee To Christ-Follower: Escaping Religion, Embracing Jesus, and Living Called ✨📚🔖

BOOK DESCRIPTION 📝

What if the greatest barrier between you and Jesus isn’t the world—but religion?

Not denomination or tradition itself, but the quiet kind of religion that teaches us to measure our faith by appearances, performance, knowledge, and comparison rather than by surrender to Christ.🌍🌅

Nick Smith grew up in church. He knew the Bible, attended faithfully, was baptized as a child, and learned how a Christian was supposed to look. Yet years later, he discovered a difficult truth:

It is possible to know a great deal about Jesus without truly knowing Him.🎆💫

In From Pharisee to Christ-Follower: Escaping Religion, Embracing Jesus, and Living Called, the searching words of Jesus in Matthew 23 become a mirror rather than a weapon.🎇☀️

Through personal testimony, stories of quiet men and women whose lives demonstrated genuine faith, and lessons learned while serving in the mountains of Honduras, Smith explores the subtle ways pride, performance, self-righteousness, misplaced priorities, and religious familiarity can take the place of intimacy with Christ.🏞️🪻

But this book is not ultimately about Pharisees.

It is about Jesus.

His mercy.

His holiness.

His cross.

His call to surrender.

And the lifelong journey of becoming more like Him.🌄🍂

You will not be asked to become less committed to truth, less devoted to Scripture, or less faithful to the Church.

You will be asked a far more personal question:

If I continue living exactly as I am today, will I become more like the Pharisees—or more like Jesus?

And when the book ends, one invitation remains:

Follow Him.📚🔖
